Barebones Living hand tools are high quality, durable and made to last. The sustainable bamboo handles are ergonomic and just feel good to hold. The heat treated stainless steel is rust resistant and can be resharpened as needed. These are the type of tools that you only buy once, the kind you build relationships with over the years. It’s no surprise that most of them come with a lifetime warranty.
Beyond making really great products, Barebones is a purpose-driven organization we can get behind. They leverage their products, profits, expertise, and experience to do good in meaningful ways. Their first products were imagined, designed, and developed to support global humanitarian efforts.
A few of their humanitarian efforts to date include:
- Provided earthquake relief support in Nepal, through a donation of 100 high
quality safari tents, to be used as certified medical tents or sleeping shelters for up
to 12 people. These durable tents are made to last through 5 years of continual use.
- Helped Bwe village in Africa to transform 250 hectares of barren earth into a
thriving community with a local school and farm. They provided power, education,
- Developed an abundant community garden and orchard in Utah that donated
33,000 pounds of fruit and 42,000 pounds of produce, just last year, to local
organizations in need.
- Founded the Safe Shelter Initiative which donates shelters and matches disaster
recovery grant funds up to $500,000.
It’s nice when the purchases we make, to do the things we love, come from companies we believe in and want to support.
From the founder of Barebones:
My intention is for Barebones to inspire a desire to consciously engage with nature and, as the poet Rumi invites, ‘Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you love.’ Come, be drawn to your True North.”
