We are on to another year, getting closer and closer to the spring gardening season! One thing you can be excited about right now is Bare Root Fruit trees! We get in our bare root trees this week by Friday, January 17, and bare root fruit is due to arrive in February. Check out our care guide on planting bare root fruit trees for more information! We also have a handy spray schedule sheet to keep track of prevention methods and potential monthly problems for fruit trees. Hellebores should be arriving late January, and potatoes will likely be here early February- keep an eye on our social media where we’ll keep you up to date on new arrivals!
Now is a great time for planning your garden. A garden journal is an excellent way to plan out your garden, or look back on notes from previous years. Our 2020 seeds are arriving, and we couldn’t be more excited! So far we have Territorial and Thyme Garden seeds, with Renee’s Garden and Seed Savers Exchange coming soon.
Things you can do to prepare for the upcoming garden season are to use a soil test to determine if your soil is in need of any amendments, grab some seed catalogs for inspiration, spread mulch where needed, and think about starting a journal for this year to keep track of your garden.
